Proportional flow regulators control precisely

A range of two-port proportional flow regulators provide precise electrical control of hydraulic fluid flow at pressures up to 210 bar using signals from a joystick or a computer system.

Need control of hydraulic fluid flow? Sterling Hydraulics' JP02C range of two-port proportional flow regulators provide precise electrical control of hydraulic fluid flow at pressures up to 210 bar. As the UK's leading designer and manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves, Sterling Hydraulics' products are used in a wide range of applications including construction and earth moving equipment, agricultural and forestry machines, mining equipment and industrial machinery.

Where control of fluid flow is required, the two-way, pressure compensated JP02C spool type solenoid valves provide a regulated flow that is proportional to the input solenoid current, and is also virtually independent of fluctuations in the load or changes to the input.

This makes the valve the perfect control element where precise flow control is required from a remote electrical signal.

The signal can be from a manual joystick, like those used in 'cherry-picker' manlift units and car lifts, or computer generated for programmed, precision movements of machinery.

The JP02C valves are normally closed and a normally open version - the JP02P - is also available.

Pressure compensation is an integral part of the cartridge.

The cartridge housing is constructed as a one piece item to ensure internal concentricity, and this eliminates the need for a separate pressure compensation element.

Line bodies are available in anodised aluminium or zinc plated steel to suit system requirements.

The symmetrical coil is hermetically sealed and available with several different connector types.

There are three models in the range for flows up to 7.5, 15 and 23 litre/min and each can be fitted with 12 or 24V DC solenoids.

Infinitely variable manual override is available as an option on all the models.

Sterling Hydraulics has been based in Crewkerne, Somerset, since the 1960's and, together with sister company Sterling Hydraulics Inc, of Chicago, is now recognised as a world leader in the design and manufacture of screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifold systems.

More than this, Sterling Hydraulics has a reputation for working closely with customers to find the best solutions for their specific hydraulic requirements.

Sterling Hydraulics' products are available internationally via a network of over thirty distributors covering Europe, Africa, the Pacific Rim, and the Middle East, with an additional extensive distribution network across North and South America.
