Fully interchangeable with the existing CC range of coils used on Sterling Hydraulics valves, the new C4 coils also offer substantial cost savings, especially for volume users. Weighing just 0.12kg, compared with 0.20kg for CC-series coils, the new C4 products take full advantage of the most modern materials to provide superior reliability and performance.

They are initially available for 12V and 24V DC operation, and can be supplied in standard or high-power versions, to ensure compatibility with the widest possible range of valves.

All types feature waterproof construction, which eliminates the need for O rings, and an external steel flux-carrying band which makes it possible for the coil to withstand extreme thermal shock without damage to its encapsulation.

The robust construction of the new coils makes them an ideal and cost-effective choice for even the toughest applications, and is complemented by a choice of seven moulded-in connector options, making them fast and easy to fit and wire.

Available connector types are AMP Junior, DIN 43650, Deutsch DT04-2P, flying leads, Packard Metri-Pack 150, and double spade.

Standard coils in the range have a consumption of 14W, while, for high-power versions, the consumption is 19W.

Both types have an operating temperature range of -40§C to +200§C, and both are suitable for use in applications where they will be continuously energised.
