New low-cost short stroke slides from Parker
Parker Pneumatic has introduced the P5T Series Short Stroke Thrust Slides - a nine model, low cost automation range - specifically designed and developed for heavy-duty short stroke applications in factory automation processes where mounting envelopes are limited and substantial side-loading is present. Particular factory automation applications for the P5T Series slides include conveyor line stops, tamping boxes in packaging applications, and in welding, presses, parts transfer, machine loading/unloading, clamping and assembly processes. Maximum operating pressure is 10 bar.
The compact slide housing - which allows use in very confined spaces - features four built-in bushings which guide two parallel, and case hardened support rods.
The slide body integrates a low profile cylinder which contains a wear strip, piston magnet, and two pressure energised, wear compensating piston seals.
Side ports are standard; rear porting for efficiency in very confined spaces is a standard option.
Also built into the body are piston bumpers which reduce noise, dissipate energy and contribute to longer operating life.
For high speed applications, or where high loads are being moved, optional hydraulic dampers can be specified.
Parker Pneumatic's P5T Short Stroke Slides are available in nine sizes - 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm and feature BSPP ports as standard.
Options available include Hall Effect and reed switches, rear porting, dowel pin holes, flow controls, corrosion resistant shafting and fluorocarbon seals.
