316 makes pneumatic cylinders easy to clean
Complimenting their existing range of tie rod stainless steel cylinders Berendsen PMC have introduced a new range of stainless "all round" units. Two versions are available, one for standard use the other for applications requiring high levels of cleanliness such as food processing, these cylinders are easy to clean having a smooth cylinder surface and no crevices or sharp corners. Berendsen PMC's stainless steel cylinders are manufactured by their Finish counterpart Berendsen Pimatic.
Lead times are remarkably short with cylinders being delivered in less than two weeks.
All Pimatic cylinders are double acting units with fully adjustable cushioning at both ends; they conform to ISO standards.
All external components are made from stainless steel grade AISI 316 or a material with equivalent corrosion resistance.
The long life of these cylinders is attributable to a number of design features.
Long cushioning pistons decelerate the piston at an acceptable rate, reducing shock loads, which is advantageous not only to the life of the cylinder but to the life of mechanisms in which they are used.
And both the rod bearing and the PTFE piston wear ring are longer, reducing the stress induced by any given load.
Berendsen's NEW cylinders are available with bore sizes from 32 to 80 mm, and with a stroke up to 1000mm.
Their tie rod cylinders cater for bore sizes up to 320 mm and strokes up to 1500 mm.
They can be supplied with any of the common mountings and rod end attachments.
Various seal materials are available to enable the cylinders to be used in extreme conditions ranging from -40 to +150C.
In addition to Pimatic cylinders Berendsen also market a range of air preparation components manufactured in 316 stainless steel.
