Lifters are faster without increasing pressure

Edbro's next generation Rolatip hooklift equipment offers operators the benefits of 30% faster operation than competing systems for improved productivity; lighter weight, via a patented lifting system; a lower centre of gravity for improved vehicle handling; and higher efficiency with improved payload rating. The Rolatip hooklift is totally universal, fits all chassis types and will accept any UK bin. It employs a unique design with a patented roller lift mechanism that vastly improves the lifting effect and speed of the hydraulic lift cylinders, without increasing the hydraulic working pressure.

As a result, less effort is required to 'roll on and off' the container, due to the increased leverage generated via the lift mechanism.

The benefits of the patented lift system also contribute to the lighter weight construction of the Rolatip, as smaller hydraulic lift cylinders, requiring reduced oil capacity, can be used.

In addition, a bin construction comprising special alloy high-tensile steel sections both reduces weight while providing the high strength required for waste handling and recycling operations.

Also key to the unique design and high operating efficiency of the Rolatip units is a system of wide rear rollers that are positioned to provide minimum rear overhang for legal axle loading at 32 tonne GVW, reducing the rear approach angle for easier bin handling.

Moreover, the larger and wider rollers allow for misaligned bins to be loaded safely, and also reduce stress build-up in critical components during operation.

Complementing the operation of the rollers is Edbro's unique hook profile, which is suitable for all container types, including Chem and DiNo Importantly, no locking pin mechanism is required to secure the bail bar in the hook, reducing the risk of unnecessary damage and downtime.

Furthermore, the Edbro hook will not allow the release of a bin whilst in operation, due to its well-proven form.

In addition to providing higher operating speeds, higher payloads and weight saving, Rolatip's integrated design also delivers in the key area of safety.

Rolatip is a fully interlocked system and offers a number of built-in safety features to avoid accidental operation.

These include: interlocks to prevent jib movement during the tipping cycle; load retaining valves on each lifting cylinder to protect against hose failure; and an over-centre valve in the hydraulic circuit, which slows the descent of the lift arm to prevent chassis damage from loaded containers.

As well as offering high levels of operating safety Rolatip provides additional safeguards by being extremely easy to use.

Comprising a simple pneumatic cab control system - with no unnecessary electric/electronic components - it offers an excellent ergonomic design layout for ease of operating.

This delivers benefits for operators in that no special training is required for drivers.

Rolatip is available two model types: the RLT 26 has a maximum lift capacity of 16 tonne (26 tonne GVW) and the RLT 32 a lift capacity of 23 tonne (GVW 32 tonne).

These units are supported by a wide range of optional equipment, and in common with all Edbro products are backed-up by one of the most comprehensive networks of specialist service agents and dedicated service agents throughout the UK.
