CARY, NC - (April 5, 2007) - MTS Systems Corp., Sensors Division has built upon its proven mobile hydraulic position sensor technology with the development of a smaller sensor to enable even more hydraulic cylinder applications. Designated the MS Series, the proven Temposonics[R] technology is designed into a 28mm diameter housing for welded and tie-rod compact cylinder (38mm) applications.

"Our customers found our MH sensor to be extremely durable when installed inside the hydraulic cylinder, even in harsh conditions, and we had requests for a smaller sensor to expand the application possibilities," said Drew Smedley, director of global marketing for MTS Sensors. The mechanics of the sensor are completely compatible with the existing design for embedded, in-cylinder applications.
