Guide shows advantages of power presses
To help explain the operability and advantages of the D and M Series presses - in capacities from 1000kN to 20MN - Pacific Press Technologies has published a new literature guide. Pacific Press Technologies offers a new literature guide (10 pages, four colors) to help explain the operability and advantages of the D and M Series presses. Standard tonnages are available from 1000kN to 20MN (100 tonf to 2000 tonf) models (larger tonnage machines offered optionally).
The two-point, D-Series press has a large bed area with open height tailored to the process requirements and a long working stroke to provide flexibility and full tonnage throughout the stroke for various hydraulic press applications.
The two-cylinder presses are leveled with an electro-hydraulic synchronization process.
The guide also explains and highlights Deep Drawing, Progressive and Transfer Dies, PLC Controls, blanking and Compression Molding.
An explicit Pacific D-Series trait is eight-way gibbing.
This guarantees non-binding gib-guide operation and years of reliable service.
An automatic grease lubrication system is included with this ram guidance.
Operator and equipment safety is also outlined in the text.
Pacific can create state-of-the-art safety systems to individual or state requirements.
Such applications include light guards, barrier guards, two-hand operator controls, slide locks and slide safety blocks.
Other features discussed in the literature for D-Series Presses are special controls for Continuous Run and PSDI Operating Modes, cushion systems and quick die change.
Model 'M' Presses (single point) are designed to specifically handle punching, blanking, forming and molding operations that do not require large bed areas.
An eight way, square type gibbing, provides high accuracy and repeatability.
With optional modifications the 'M' can be utilized with thermosetting plastics, forming and signing magnesium and titanium or even extruding and compacting operations.
The literature also showcases 'D and M' Series Specification charts and illustrations.
Full factory training and service support is available from Pacific.
Headquartered in Mt.
Carmel, Illinois, USA, Pacific Press Technologies is a leading builder of hydraulic presses, press brakes and shears for the metal forming and compression molding (advanced composites, rubber, plastics) industries.
