Direct thrust pneumatic presses introduced
A range of dual purpose and direct thrust pneumatic presses can be applied to assembly and press work, riveting, cutting, crimping, bending and forming.
A brand new range of low cost hydro pneumatic bench presses ranging, from 670kgf to 500kN capacity, has been launched by French power manufacturer EMG-LONG and is now available through their sole UK representative SMV Presses (UK), the Coventry based power press and ancillary equipment manufacturer. These are dual purpose and direct thrust pneumatic presses designed for fabrication in a multitude of industries including, the pharmaceutical and medical equipment, automotive, white goods, watchmaking, and general fabrication industries. It can be used on a number of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, plastics and membranes as well as other materials for assembly and press work, riveting, cutting, crimping, bending and forming.
Each press is supplied with a vertical safety screen as standard and has a maximum operating speed of 150mm/s at maximum 6 bar.
The stroke varies between 50mm - 400mm with the working stroke being from 6mm - 40mm.
The vertical screen is operated by bi-manual push buttons to ensure maximum operator safety.
Light guards are available as an option to a vertical safety screen.
The press is CE marked.
Hydro pneumatic presses work more economically than conventional presses, because they are operated by compressed air, which activates the hydraulic power stroke automatically.
When operating, the pneumatic operated stroke approaches the workpiece quickly at a low force, only when it meets any resistance does the force increase.
