Dual hydraulic relief valves reduce space

Hydraulic screw-in cartridge valves offer the machine designer the potential of condensing the majority of a machines' hydraulic controls into a single Hydraulic Integrated Circuit (manifold block), or incorporating valves into the body of other hydraulic components, such as motors. This reduces both the installation time and the space requirement whilst also improving serviceability and performance. When used to the full, some applications become very intricate.

To minimise this complexity, Integrated Hydraulics are developing multi-function valves that take the place of two or more cartridges.

The latest of these is their NEW dual relief valve, designated 1CLLR50.

By minimising the number of cartridges in a circuit, the 1CLLR50 promotes simpler component machining, helps to reduce space requirement, cuts assembly time and limits the number of potential leak paths.

Traditionally, to achieve a cross-line relief function, two relief cartridges would be required, with each relieving between the two lines.

Integrated Hydraulics' new dual cross-line relief valve does the same job but with just one cartridge, so requiring the minimum of machining to the block in which it is mounted, e g, hydraulic integrated circuit or the body of a motor.

The 1CLLR50 is a direct acting, differential area, poppet type valve that offers fast, stable and repeatable control of pressure.

The valve gives full adjustment of pressure through its range on both lines at the same time, simplifying set up and development.

Its areas of application are typically on motors employed for slew control, on steering systems or between service lines.

Integrated Hydraulics' new 1CLLR50 cartridge fits in the same cavity as the company's series 5 solenoid valves, so requires no additional tooling.

It is rated to 350 bar and has a flow rate of 50 litres/min, internal leakage past the poppet valves is 0.5ml/min.
